When it doesn’t make sense……
Most
times we face situations in life that makes the mind wonder "was God really aware" that this was
going to happen?
We
get into some difficult and heart-breaking situations, which makes us wonder
whether “does God truly care”?? Yes
he does!
I
had a terrible encounter where I knew people would actually wonder whether what
I preached made sense. How could I preach that scripture says "None shall
cast their young" but still I lost a pregnancy. For another person, it
might have been easier to receive counseling and sympathies after all they had
not been preaching to a childless neighbor a few weeks back about how God loves
her and made her fruitful, and that she shouldn't fear deaths or miscarriage
because that is not what God said in His word.
It
was a dark moment of despair. At the point of losing a child or loved one, it
all doesn't make sense and something always doesn't add up, especially when you
have prayed (got the church community to pray with you) believed, decreed and
understood that such evil will never befall you.
Now
the question is, did you not pray enough? Did you not believe? Of course you
did, but then I came to understand that I had to let God be God!!! I realized
that I might not understand all that happens or why He allows certain things come
to be, but my duty is to do what am instructed in the scripture and let him be
God! Again, I understood that when it made NO SENSE at all, l either let
frustrations and depression rule over me or I choose to TRUST that He knew me
before I was born and He has a plan for me that is greater than anything I can
ever imagine.
The
lady I preached to must have wondered why It happened to me. Even I could not comprehend
that either. I also cannot fathom why God let's bad things happen to good
people. But I choose to TRUST Him when in the wilderness; I choose to trust Him
even when it all doesn't add up and when all my senses are screaming at me to
do the opposite of what He is telling me.
The
enemy has one motive; "To steal, kill and destroy"!!! Even if God
lets him destroy everything around you, don't let him destroy YOU!!! God is in
charge even when the storms rages highest, learn to trust God completely even
when it doesn't make sense. I wonder how the Israelites would have felt in
front of the red seas when Moses told them to stand still…
Learn to TRUST God and hold onto your faith
even when all doesn't make sense.

Can you find an unconventional way to bring the burdens and the burdened to Jesus?
Key Scripture:
Luke 5: 17-26 [NKJV]
"17 Now it happened on a certain day, as He was teaching that there were Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting by, who had come out of every town of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord waspresent to heal them.
18 Then behold, men brought on a bed a man who was paralyzed, whom they sought to bring in and lay before Him.
19 And when they could not find how they might bring him in, because of the crowd, they went up on the housetop and let him down with his bed through the tiling into the midst before Jesus.
20 When He saw their faith, He said to him, “Man, your sins are forgiven you.”
25 Immediately he rose up before them, took up what he had been lying on, and departed to his own house, glorifying God.
26 And they were all amazed, and they glorified God and were filled with fear, saying, “We have seen strange things today!”
Have you ever felt like the ‘crowds’ of life are keeping you from a deep, intimate and healing encounter with Jesus? Do you feel like the friend on the mat some days just wanting to get to Jesus? Could you be a friend who can help others get to Jesus? Many of us have had struggles in different areas; those lessons learned could help somebody who is in the midst of a similar struggle right now.
This year, why don't you create a safe space to share. A place of Prayer, Praise and the Personal; where the personal includes growth, testimonies, advice, encouragement and relationships. Start A fellowship for the many and for the one; if one person has a burden then we all can help either in prayer or for those who have had experience in that area, with the giving of advice.
Luke 5: 20 [NIV]
20 When Jesus saw their faith, he said, “Friend, your sins are forgiven.”
In the natural, that was the first time Jesus was meeting that man, yet He called him friend. We may not know each other in the natural but because we know and have a relationship with the Savior we are friends, sisters even, united by our big brother Jesus.
That's who we are as Fruitful Sisters.
Can you, like those friends, find an unconventional way to bring the burdens and the burdened to Jesus?
